Caleya was founded in 1991 and it is composed by pupils from the
Traditional Music School of Humanitarios de Samartín de Morea dŽAyer.
From then it has performed within and outside Asturies. Some of their
performances were at Perigueaux (France) in 1992 and 1994, Pozu Hondu Festival
at Santander inn 1996, Ferrol inn 1998 and at de Lorient Intercéltic
festival (Brittany) in 1997. At this Festival they were the first band form the
Iberian Peninsukla accepted as a participant at Guinness Drum contest.
