Julián Orbón´s music follows certain principles, a series of recurring stylistic patterns which illuminate the greater part of his musical production; recurrance to variatión, references to the Spanish musical tradition, from the Medieval to Falla; varied presence of popular music, particularly concerning the rhythms of South America and the tendencies toward transparency of timbre together with a certain appreciation of the sharp, evocative sonority of the guitar.
