This recording is the second part of the series Cantos y bailles
dŽAsturies. As the title points out, we are presented a
monographic exposition of the tunes which accompany the "chanu"
dance, which over the last few years has become better known as the "son
dŽarriba". This is the first volume of the two released, which aim at
offering a fair descrition of the vast variety of melodies danced to and of the
percussions used (traditional tambourines and castanets), and the later
